Purpose
In 2003, Hartford, CT hosted a match between the World Champion Welch National Rugby Squad and the US National Rugby team at Rensselaer Field. This logo was used to promote the game in advertisements and on merchandise.

Description
The US mascot is the Eagle and the Welch national symbol is the dragon. The two representative national icons, eagle feather and dragon tail are brought together to form a rugby ball.
